Pillars Of Creation
This is a photograph that was taken by the Hubble Space Telescope on April 1, 1995. Nasa named it Pillars Of Creation because of its pillar like structures and it was the clearest image of the universe at that time. The colors really pop out at me on this one, the white mixed with the brown to make the clouds of interstellar dust, the dark background which makes the interstellar dust stand out, and the purple stars are just a perfect touch to this photograph. This is only a half-length shot, it actually forms an eagle when able to see the full picture. The light coming from the pillars gives them an aura feel. This is actually a star-forming patch of space which is 6,500 light-years from earth. The pillars themselves are 5 light-years long, which are shown in this picture. This was a spontaneous photograph, because nothing in the galaxy could be planned. When I first saw this photo it reminded me of a time that I Astral Traveled.

This photograph of “Pillars Of Creation” is so beautiful to me. I love all the amazing colors and depth in the photograph. It just about looks like it could be under water with the way the light is shining on the tips of the pillars. The different shades of blues, greens, browns and white are remarkable. This constellation of Serpens Cauda is breath taking. I can’t even imagine something so vast as these three pillars are measuring to be 5 light-years long. I have even been in to astronomy but will defiantly be more open to it now. Thank you for sharing this astonishing photograph. I truly enjoyed it.
